S.R BOGIE BRAKE VAN (QUEEN MARY)- G196
This kit is based on the unusual bogie vans built by the Southern Railway. Twenty Five of these brake vans were built in the 1930’s at Ashford in Kent and were based on an earlier version built by the LBSC which used redundant under frames from a.c power cars. The bogies used on this later version were the standard coach type used at the time on S.R coaching stock. The kit is supplied with most parts to construct a practical model for use on Gauge 1 railways
This brake van is one of the first in our wagon kit range to include locating tags for esier assembly. This brake van is also manufactured using our precision laser cut ply-wood technique, including the blanking detail.
Wheels and bogies are not supplied, but, can be found under Tenmille's large range of wagon accessories
